So this blog got 114 hits yesterday... from people searching for a picture of Cookie Monster. I knew it couldn't be because they were actually interested in what I had to say. Thanks to WordPress for killer SEO and to Google Images for helping Cookie-Monster-picture-seekers all over the world find my site.

I track hits on my blog as well as my client sites on a regular basis. And that tracking data includes what search engine terms people follow in order to get to a particular web page. But now, Google has taken search engine tracking to a new level, extrapolating influenza outbreaks by location, based on searches for flu symptoms.
