Queensland Australia is accepting applications for an Island Caretaker. The six-month contract is based on luxurious Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef. It’s a live-in position and key responsibilities include exploring the islands of the Great Barrier Reef to discover what the area has to offer. The caretaker will be required to report back on  adventures to Tourism Queensland headquarters in Brisbane (and the rest of the world) via weekly blogs, photo diary, video updates and ongoing media interviews to help promote the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.

The caretaker will also be paid a salary package of AUD $150,000 for the six-month contract, return airfares from home, accommodation and transport on Hamilton Island, travel insurance for the contract period, computer, internet, digital video and stills cameras access, plus travel to a number of the other Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.

I would LOVE this job. But of course I’ve been to busy to put anything together for it. Then… last night at a Superbowl party, I met someone who put together a video application!
