If I could change the world…
If I could change the world… I would be $10 million richer.
Today Google announced it’s 10^100 project.
Basically, they’re giving people with ideas that will change the world $10 million to go ahead and change it.
Project 10 to the 100th is looking for ideas like the Hippo Water Roller or maybe even the PFNC Global Communities project.

Unnecessary link of the day
I love trivia. Who doesn’t?
Trivial Pursuit. Trivia Night. History pop quizzes. Whatever.
Once my dad brought home a book called “Completely Useless Information.” I read it cover to cover. Then one Christmas, I got a set of encyclopedias. Then we got an encylopedia on disk. Oh, that was the best. And then there was Wikipedia.

To the beat of a different drummer
One of my former high school band mates is a drummer for a street percussion group called The Cadence.
Comprised of a bunch of Missouri State University percussionists, the guys have made it all the way to the Top 20 of America’s Got Talent.
They’re performing TONIGHT at 7pm CST on NBC. You should check them out.
The grand prize is a headlining show in Las Vegas. So if you love them (which I know you will), please vote for them! Continue reading

‘Til Automatic Bill-Pay Do We Part
Last weekend I was talking with people about the joys of automatic bill pay. It reminded me of a blog post I read a month ago about a man who had all of his bills on auto-pay. He passed away, but since his bills kept getting paid on time – no one found out for TWO YEARS.
It’s sad that the man had no one in his life – family, friends, neighbors, not even a landlord – that cared about him enough to check in on him. I guess that’s the downside of the convenience of auto-bill pay. At least the repo-man cares enough to stop in when you haven’t paid the bills. Continue reading

Press 0 for operator
I hate when I have to call a company and go though minutes and minutes of automated options before I can talk to someone. A couple months ago, I came across a web site that lists the secrets to getting in touch with a real person at major companies.
Visit Gethuman.com. It sorts companies alphabetically and gives you step-by-step instructions. It’ll save you time and frustration. Continue reading
